Our story began in January 1997, when Keith and Cheryl Early opened the doors to the first Bungalow Billiards and Brew in Chantilly, Virginia. With a vision to transform a former Carlos O’Kelly’s and Quincy’s Steak House into a cozy, vibrant space, they introduced the unique “Bungalow” concept, inspired by cherished memories and iconic destinations like the Catskill Mountains, the Outer Banks, and Key West.

OUR JOURNEY

 

From the beginning, Keith and Cheryl shared a passion for creating a space that felt like home, where guests could relax, enjoy, and connect. With Keith focusing on back-of-house operations and Cheryl leading the front-of-house with her extensive hospitality experience, they worked tirelessly to deliver high-quality food and exceptional hospitality. Their vision was simple yet profound: to craft an "eatertainment" environment—a place where delicious food, fun games, and warm interactions flourished, and employees could thrive while having fun.

 

Over the years, their dedication turned into a legacy. From humble beginnings in Chantilly, the Bungalow family grew to include seven beloved locations: Cascades, Shirlington, Springfield, Gainesville, Potomac Mills, Ashburn, and Sterling. Along the way, our team expanded from just 20 members to 150+, building a close-knit community of employees and loyal guests who have helped us thrive.

OUR GROWTH AND LEGACY

 

In 2012, Keith and Cheryl realized a long-held dream with the opening of The Bungalow Lakehouse in Sterling, Virginia—a 12,000+ sq ft flagship location that embodied their passion and commitment to excellence. The Lakehouse became the crown jewel of the Bungalow family, offering a premier dining and entertainment experience.

In 2022, the Bungalow tradition passed to the next generation. Today, the day-to-day operations are proudly managed by Keith and Cheryl’s children and spouse—Haley, Sarah, Sean, and Jeff. 

 

Together, they continue to honor their parents’ legacy while bringing fresh ideas and energy to the business.
